In September 2016 VAPTECH was awarded with the delivery of hydromechanical equipment for Planska project in Serbia.
Planska HPP will operate with two vertical Francis turbines with total capacity 1,8 MW. Unit 1 will be designed and manufactured with maximum power 1,222 kW and rated speed 500 rpm and Unit 2 with power 659kW, rated speed 600rpm. The turbine equipment will be supplied with generator frame.
According to the contact VAPTECH will deliver also two sets of butterfly valves DN 1000 PN 6 and DN 800 PN 6 together with cones and dismounting units; high pressure units, PLC based automation system, supervision of installation and commissioning works.
The Western Balkan region has the largest remaining unexploited hydropower potential in Europe. Among the markets whit great potential are Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, Bulgaria. In the first three quarters of 2016 VAPTECH established its position in Macedonia with 3 new projects and the commissioning of HPP Konyarka 235. at the end of 2016 4 additional projects are expected to be put into operation in Macedonia.
