Blagoevgradska Bistritsa 8 SHPP cascade is now successfully launched into operation.

The cascade of 8 hydropower plants is located in Bulgaria nearby the city of Blagoevrgrad.

The scope of delivery VAPTECH includes main inlet valves, turbines, generators and its installation and commissioning.

The project is based on six Pelton turbines with vertical shaft arrangement and two Francis turbines with horizontal shaft arrangement. The total Installed output power for the cascade is 6582 kW.

  The plant is based on one Pelton turbine with vertical shaft arrangement with rated output power of 1128 kW.
