VAPTECH to Supply Full Electromechanical Equipment For Greenfield Hydropower Project in Georgia

#VAPTECH was awarded with the delivery of electromechanical equipment for the hydropower project; Kasleti-2, located in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti area in Georgia.

Kasleti-2 HPP will be supplied with full electromechanical equipment developed and integrated by VAPTECH. The scope of supply consists of the design, manufacturing and the supply of the complete electromechanical equipment. It also includes: two vertical Pelton turbines with six injectors, synchronous generators, spherical valves DN500 PN40, digital control system, main transformer, hydraulic pressure unit, transportation of the equipment, installation, supervision and commissioning.

The plant will give a total output of around ten megawatts. The annual average of clean energy produced will be around 45 GWh.

VAPTECH is strongly involved in the hydropower sector of Georgia. To date, VAPTECH accomplished the renewal of three hydropower projects and one greenfield project (HPP Debeda).
