VAPTECH’s standard butterfly valves are designed for medium and low-pressure applications, covering diameters from 300 to 1400 mm and pressure ratings of 6, 10, 16, and 25 bar. Standard actuation is achieved through a hydraulic cylinder, with valve closing supported by a counterweight for secure and reliable operation.
Beyond the standard range, VAPTECH develops customized butterfly valves with diameters up to 5000 mm and pressure ratings of up to 40 bar. Depending on the relationship between inlet diameter, pressure, and flow velocity, the rotor is engineered either as a solid disc or a lattice structure to ensure optimal hydraulic performance.
Alternative actuation options include double-acting hydraulic cylinders, electric actuators, or manual operation via a hand-wheel. Each valve can be supplied with a full set of auxiliary components such as upstream and downstream piping, bypass systems, hydraulic power units, aeration-deaeration devices, penstock rupture protection, and advanced digital control systems to meet the specific requirements of any project.
