VAPTECH’s standard line of spherical valves is engineered for medium and low-pressure applications, covering diameters from 300 to 1000 mm and pressure ratings of 40, 63, and 100 bar. Each valve is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder, with closing ensured by a counterweight mechanism. The sealing between the rotor and valve body is achieved through a movable stainless steel seal, operated by a water-oil pressure system for reliable and durable performance.
For projects beyond standard specifications, VAPTECH designs custom spherical valves with diameters up to 3000 mm and pressure ratings up to 100 bar. Optional configurations include a secondary maintenance seal that allows safe inspection of the main seal without draining the penstock.
Depending on project requirements, actuation can be achieved through a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, an electric actuator, or manual operation via a hand-wheel. Valves can also be delivered with integrated upstream and downstream piping, bypass systems, hydraulic power units, aeration-deaeration devices, penstock rupture protection, and advanced digital control systems.
