KAPLAN Hydropower Solutions

VAPTECH’s Kaplan turbines are designed for hydropower projects with low or very low heads and significant flow variation. Available in vertical or horizontal (pit) shaft arrangements, each turbine features 3 to 6 runner blades with double regulation, ensuring optimal efficiency across a wide operating range.

The runner is produced from high-quality stainless steel castings and CNC-machined to meet the highest precision standards. Both metal and concrete spiral case options are available for vertical configurations, while horizontal setups can be equipped with either metal or concrete pit designs.

All Kaplan turbines are engineered, manufactured, and tested in compliance with IEC standards to guarantee performance, durability, and adaptability to site-specific conditions.
