Cascade Tomsani in Romania Launched Into Operation

Cascade Tomsani consist of 3 hydropower plants – Tomsani 1, Tomsani 2 and Tomsani 3. The Cascade is located in Romania and has been put into operation since February 2014.

For this project VAPTECH has executed rehabilitation of the 3 existing units with design, production and delivery of 3 new Horizontal Francis turbines VAPHYDRO™ . The electromechanical equipment for this project is designed and manufactured in accordance to the existing conditions and parameters in the Cascade. The rated turbine output per unit is 526 kW.

The scope of delivery includes 3 sets of Horizontal Francis turbines VAPHTECH™ Butterfly valves Hydraulic governor system Synchronous generators Supervision and installation
