VAPTECH Delivered Electromechanical Equipment For Another Two Hydropower Plants in Romania

HPP Sambata and HPP Vistisoara are located in Romania and the plants' owner is S.C. Hidro Clear Fagaras S.R.L.

For HPP Sambata and HPP Vistisoara VAPTECH has delivered bifurcation and two sets of turbine and spherical valves and hydraulic pressure units.

HPP Sambata was put into operation in May this year and operates under a net head of 272,5 m and a maximum discharge of 1,4 m3/s. The flow is utilized by two identical Pelton turbines VAPHYDRO™ with 2 injectors and rated speed of 750 rpm. The rated turbine output is 1670 kW. The total installed capacity for the power plant is 3340 kW.

HPP Vistisoara will be put into operation this month and it will operate under a net head of 250 m and a maximum discharge of 1,00 m3/s. The turbines are two identical Pelton turbines VAPHYDRO™ with 2 injectors and rated speed of 1000 rpm. The rated turbine output is 1268 kW. The total installed capacity for the power plant will be 2536 kW.

Later this year VAPTECH will deliver the electromechanical equipment for 6 more HPPs in Romania: Tomsani-1-2-3, Taia, Raul Mare and Cavnic. With these successfully executed projects VAPTECH confirms its significant presence on the Romanian hydropower market.
